My lazy Sunday

After waking up early Sunday morning and watching these Lakers take care of the Suns in game 6, EZ and I were feeling pretty froggy so we decided to leap out to a touristy spot in Ulsan. How about the Amethyst rock cave? Down. From what I gathered during my visit, it looked like someone found this cave and thought, “there can be some money made from this. But I don’t think that just showcasing rocks will do the trick. What else can we do to bring people in?” We walked through the entrance of the cave to booms of music in the distance. Whatever could it be? Why this, of course (look at the guy in the left corner, I couldn’t really figure him out). There were disjointed sections of the cave that seemed to follow no central theme. Mira:
egyptian room...
then Buddha shrine...
evidence that even way-back-when people were like, "do you think you could do that somewhere else please?"
teacher, mwolayo (hangul for I don't know)...

There was also a mini zoo on top of the cave:
some people saw that he was hungry, so they started throwing Cheetos in the cage for him...

Before I close out this blog update, I forgot to mention a few weeks ago that I went paragliding. The experience registered a 4 on the adrenaline meter, on a 10-point scale, but got me considering bungee jumping (check out DL Hughley’s thoughts) or even *cough* skydiving. It was a gorgeous day and it was a day well spent with my Ulsan folk. Here are some of the pictures from that adventure:

taken right after take-off...
at this point I still wasn't sure if the landing would go smoothly...
because apparently it doesn't for everyone...
